This is Claudia Santiago, founder of BELLA SANTIAGO BEAUTY and CLAUDIA SANTIAGO INTERNATIONAL – Skincare and Cosmetics brand.
I’m an international recording artist, entertainer, speaker, author, designer and entrepreneur. More importantly, I’m human and love living LIFE to the fullest! While I find all things in my international career very fulfilling, I place a greater importance on my wellbeing, authentic relationships and the things that help bring life, value. depth & love to this world.
I have lived a life of incredible obstacles, survived a civil war, life threatening illnesses and today, I can say I’m honoured to breathe each breath I have the honour to breathe. I’m truly a walking miracle and blessed to be alive! I am honoured to bring you some of my creativity, products and services to help make your life even more beautiful and to encourage YOU to rise above life’s challenges and shine bright in every way.
I wanted to write a personal note here to share a little bit about the name BELLA and how this brand is an extension of my artistry and bringing you more than a brand, but a movement!
BELLA means beautiful in Spanish and Italian. My grandmother’s name was BELLA! Indeed she was that …simply beautiful.
She taught me at a young age, that beauty stems from within. Our character, soft heart, hard working… she was a loyal and devoted wife, mother of 8, a teacher and entrepreneur. She valued faith, family, friends, relationships and giving to her community.
Like many of my other mentors in life and business, BELLA never limited her thinking to her ‘4 walls’, but always had a global outlook on life. Life outlook was not ‘what’s in it for me’ but rather had a legacy outlook of loving and giving. She and my BELLA mentors also taught me: “What will I leave behind for the next generation? Live each day, cherishing today – yes, absolutely! But remember to honour those of yesterday…those that went before us. Also part of your legacy, remember to empowering a generation, those to make an impact for tomorrow!”
You will see throughout our brand and promotional materials a lovely circle that resembles the outside of a makeup container/mirror. You will see this in my logo for BELLA SANTIAGO BEAUTY! When I was a little girl, I would admire something similar to this that my grandmother had made of pewter silver with little shiny stones on her dresser and also would put in her purse. She would open it and fix her hair and make sure she was presentable. I remember watching her and thinking “what a classy beautiful lady!”
My grandmother BELLA had beautiful skin! She took care of herself, eating well and exercised often walking long distances to the market, to meetings etc etc. She grew herbs and roses out in her garden and cook amazing recipes with them, including making lovely salves and teas with them to stay healthy. She was deep with incredible insights and wisdom. She was not not fluffy and a hard worker and very creative.
Don’t get me wrong though, while deep, she also had the funnest sense of humour! There was always, music and celebrations in my family and BELLA was always laughing, enjoying and celebrating other people.
She and my grandfather ran a ‘day orphanage’ school in their town for under privileged kids and they treated them as their own, teaching them, feeding them and loving them. I remember as a little girl helping my grandma make food and help these kids. Pouring into other’s lives was a regular mandate in my parents household and I continue this part of their legacy in my own life and businesses.
In all, I wanted to bring the beautiful things I remember about BELLA and inspire YOU through my beauty brand. I wanted to remind you that you are BELLA … the integrity within you, passion for life, your uniqueness, your gift sets, your voice, what is within you has been created to shine bright!
Also, I wanted to remind you that YOU are worth the beauty around you. You are worth truth, love, celebrating, admiring, caring, kindness. You are worth having others around you that celebrate you.
